The Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar is a gorgeous 5 star Resort
located in beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

http://www.haciendadelmar.com.mx

One of our members recently submitted their booking experience and savings of over $4800 here…

“Membership was showcasing two units at the Hacienda Del Mar
for the month of March.  Our family had been wanting to take
a vacation for quite a while and were excited to be using our
membership for the first time.  Because we would be getting
two units through this offering, we wanted our immediate family
of four (2 adults & 2 children) to stay in one of the units, and
have “Grammy & Pappa” along to stay in the other.

The problem however, was that each unit had a max occupancy
of two. I contacted the customer service and made a request for
all of us to be able to go, despite the max occupancy posting per
unit.  They contacted the resort on our behalf and E-mailed us
back the very next day.  They stated that they had great news.
The customer service arranged an exception for all of us to go;
(our family of 4 in one unit & the grandparents in the other)
No extra charge!  They also wished all of us a wonderful vacation
and told us not to have any worries about our accommodations.

We had our confirmation within 48 hours and are now preparing for an
incredible vacation.  With tax and service and everything included,
our total membership cost for both units for 8 days and seven nights
was $699.  Obviously we checked around to see what we would have
paid elsewhere. Expedia was the only major travel provider with
availability at the time, and were asking $2,784.60 for the same unit
for the exact week.

Booking two of these units through Expedia would have cost us
$5,569.20 for just the accommodations.  Our first booking through
membership saved us over $4800 on the accommodations alone.
We then booked our flight directly through the membership and
saved an additional $300 from what we would have paid through
Expedia.

Thank you Global Resorts!

As you can see, our members have a definite advantage over the average person booking their vacations online.  If you do the math, this member actually paid a grand total of $3794 for this particular vacation (Platinum membership $3095+$699=$3794).  The price you are quoted through Global Resorts Network is the price you will pay.  There are no additional hidden fees or taxes.

These types of savings are available exclusively to our members.  As you can see, the price of your Platinum Membership at $3095 is actually a very small amount considering your savings per vacation usually exceed the price you paid for your LIFETIME Membership.

With your Platinum Membership, you can travel as often as you like to as many different destinations as you like.  Global Resorts Network not only gives incredible discounts on your hotel stay, but also offers steep discounts on airfare and cruises too.  These discounts are with major carriers, not some company you have never heard of before, like American Airlines, Delta, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Carnival Cruises, Disney Cruise Lines, Princess Cruise Lines, just to name a few.  There are NO Black Out dates, NO Coupons to redeem, ever, just go to their website decide where you want to go and submit your request.  That is when the agents go to work for you to get you exactly what you requested.  You can book your vacation as much as a year in advance to as little as 3 days in advance.  The service you will receive is always the same, OUTSTANDING!

For more information about membership, you can see a live demonstration: register online here. The live demonstrations are Monday-Thursday at 2:00pm EST and 9:00pm EST. You are welcome to post any questions or comments and I will reply as quickly as possible.

Get Paid To Go On Your Next 5 Star Vacation

February 11th, 2009

You stand in the warm afternoon sun, the smell of the saltwater and sun tan lotion caress your senses.  The gentle surf  softly laps over your naked toes, cooling you off just enough.  You have your favorite drink in your hand as you slowly yawn and walk back to your lounge chair in the shade.  You raise the little beach flag next to your chair to signal the waiters on the beach that you are ready for another drink.  When your waiter gets back with your drink, he will not even accept a tip, because you chose an all-inclusive 5 star vacation resort instead of some cheap/discount hotel.  You take a sip of your drink before you drift off to sleep…nothing like napping on the beach.

Or maybe you prefer something like this…

You wake up early because you know it is going to be hot today.  You get dressed, grab your gear and head out the door.  When you get to the lobby, there is a person to greet you and take your golf clubs to your waiting golf cart.  You head off to the number 1 tee box.  When you get there, it is an elevated tee box overlooking the most pristine golf course you have ever seen.  You get out of your cart and grab your driver…It’s time to “let the big dog eat”.  You shove your tee into the soft ground, step back from your ball and gaze down the most perfect fairway you have ever seen.  You take a couple of practice swings, step up to the ball.  The only thing you hear is the faint sound of your heartbeat.  You start your back swing, slow and deliberate, at the pinnacle, you bring your driver down hard and fast.  “TING!”  The sound of your driver shatters the early morning air.  The ball screams off the face of your titanium driver.  It flies far and straight…it finally comes to rest about 330 yards down the middle of that immaculately manicured fairway.  You take a deep breath, grab your tee and start walking back to your cart.  You put your driver back into yourgolf bag, have one more look at this beautiful golf course…Another perfect day on vacation.

These are two of my favorite things to do on vacation.  Your idea of the perfect vacation might be something totally different.  That is the beauty of vacation, it can be whatever you want it to be, whatever you need to have fun or relax.  That is why I love my lifetime membership to this travel club.  I can vacation anywhere in the world, as often as I want for the rest of my life.

This travel club I am referring to is Global Resorts Network.  Through my membership I can stay for an entire week for as little as $298.00 per week(8days/7nights).  I’m not going to go into great detail about exactly what this membership is, you can read about it in my previous post.

OK, this all sounds fine and good, but how do you get paid to go on you next 5 star vacation.  This is actually a beautiful thing…Global Resorts Network will actuall pay you $1,000.00 for everyone who joins GRN through your referral link.

It’s quite simple, after you join Global Resorts Network as a Platinum Lifetime Member, you can tell people at your 5 star vacation resort about it.  The easiest way to start a conversation with a complete stranger is usually at the swim-up bar in the pool.  You could ask them about how they found out about this little “slice” of paradise.  They will then tell you they booked it through a travel agent or at some online site like Expedia, Travelocity, or Hotels.com.  This gives you the perfect opportunity to tell them how much the exact same vacation cost you through your membership with Global Resorts Network.  At first, the person will probably be angry, but then he will become extremely curious.  This is when you tell him all about GRN and your membership.  The best part, since you are staying at a 5 star vacation resort, they will have a state of the art business center on site so you can sign the person up right away.  When you get back home, there will be $1,000.00 just waiting for you in your account.  Pretty sweet huh!

Remember, you are staying there for 8 days and 7 nights, imagine if you did this a few times on your vacation.  You could potentially make enough money on vacation to not only pay for your vacation but actually make a profit while you are enjoying yourself.

Your membership gets even better, not only do you get paid $1,000.00 for everyone who joins Global Resorts Network through your referral link, but you also get paid $1,000.00 for every sale made by anyone who signed up through you too.  (Example:  Joe joins GRN through your link , you make $1,000.  Frank joins GRN through Joe’s referral link, Joe makes $1,000 and YOU make $1,000 too.) This system is truly perpetual leverage.

Don’t you want a piece of this multi TRILLION dollar industry?  No matter what the economy, people are always going to go on vacation, everyone needs to “recharge and relax”  at least once a year.  When you join Global Resorts Network, be sure to join as a Platinum Affiliate, so you will be able to make $1,000 on all sales made by you and everyone you referred.

You can also find alfresco food outlets among the cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood. Xin Tian Di comprises of 2 main blocks called the South Block and the North Block. You can discover the old Shanghai of 1920s in the North Block, which has preserved its historical facade in its pristine condition with luxurious interior decor and amenities, while at the South Block you will find more contemporary styles and few traces of Shikumen. The South Block is open to the visitors as leisure, entertainment and shopping zone sprawled over 6.2 acres. Not only shopping and dining, you can also enjoy various types of performances at themed restaurants varying from Japanese Rock to South American Folk music. Whether you are a business or pleasure traveler, Shanghai offers a plethora of choices for fine accommodation. The Bund – a historical quayside highlighting architectural glamor

July 3rd, 2009

Stretching along the Zhongshan Road and skirting the western shores of Huangpu River of the Huangpu District of Shanghai, China is a very popular tourist destination called - The Bund, which encompasses buildings and quayside areas of the former international settlement of Shanghai. Whether you are a history or an architecture enthusiast or simply fond of historical sites, the Bund will provide an ideal spot to begin your expedition. The area first began as a settlement for British and later was joined by the Americans, forming an international settlement. There was a boom in the Chinese economy between 19th and 20th century where the Bund became a key financial center of East Asia. And by 1940 the area was already thriving with the headquarters of some major financial firms of China. This one mile long Bund went under a big transformation during the 1950s but again was restored between the ‘70s and ‘80s. In the ‘90s the Zhongshan Road was expanded to 10 lanes, trimming some of the parks and ferry quays adjoining the Bund. If you take a sightseeing tour across the Bund, you can see various buildings portraying western classical and contemporary styles towards the west side of Zhongshan Road. And if you tread along the Bund to its northern end, you will arrive at the smallest and oldest triangular shaped park of Shanghai - the Huangpu Park. Huangpu Park houses an impressive 24meter tall structure called ‘The Monument to the People’s Heroes’, resembling 3 upright rifles. This memorial was built in the memory of those who sacrificed their lives during the freedom fight of China. You can also drop by at The Bund Historical Museum in the same premises, where they exhibit many historical snapshots of the Bund. Towards the east of the Bund you’ll see a hefty embankment constructed during ‘90s, to prevent the flood waters from invading the city. And when you arrive at the Nanjing Road intersection, you will also spot a bronze statue of the first Communist Mayor of Shanghai - Chen Yi. Among the plethora of buildings that faces the Bund, you will be able to spot the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) Bank, The Bank of China, The Customs House, and the Russell & Co building to name but a few. These buildings offer an exceptional array of architectural styles ranging from Edwardian to Beaux-Arts, Neo-Renaissance to Neo-Gothic, Art Deco, and even the fusions of Greek-Revival and Neo-Classicist. Shanghai is a city visited by millions of tourists every year. Hence there are myriads of Shanghai hotels to suite the budget of all travelers alike. You will discover numerous luxury hotels in Shanghai such as Langham Yangtze Boutique Shanghai The offering outstanding services and modern conveniences for the tourists visiting the city. Shekhawati Rajasthan India

July 3rd, 2009

THE OPEN AIR ART GALLERY
The semi desert region of Shekhawati holds a fascination all of its own. ‘The open-air art gallery’, as it is popularly called, is famous for the plethora of plain red havelis, all commendable pieces of the rich artistic tradition of this region. ‘Shekhawati ‘, meaning “the land of Shekha ’s dan ” derives its name from Rao Shekha (1433 AD-1488 AD) a scion of the Kachhwah family of Jaipur. Earlier a part of the former Jaipur state, it now comprises of the districts of Jhunjhunu and Sikar.

Initially, the region had a blank monochromatic look but with subsequent historical and social developments, it has blossomed into a colourful profusion of art and life for almost 2 centuries from 1750 AD to 1930 AD.

Havelis at Shekhawati built by rich merchants of the region, display a unique architectural style that evolved around the courtyards to ensure safety and privacy of the women folk and protection from the heat of the long and harsh summers.
The havelis, painted predominantly in blue, maroon, yellow green and indigo have beautiful wall paintings that adorn their walls.

The earlier wall paintings (1830 AD -1900 AD) were largely based on the mythological themes, depicting local legends, animals, portraits, hunting and wrestling scenes and a glimpse of everyday life.

The turn of the 19th century saw the appearance of new motifs, an outcome of the Raj’s influence upon the Indian culture. Now, cars replaced elephants and traditional Indian miniatures mingled with naturalism of western paintings to produce interesting hybrid results. The mythological themes depicting gods, heroes, epics and legends were substituted by European oleographs, lithographs and photographs.

Trains, cars, balloons, telephones, gramophones, English men in hunting attires and portraits of the haveli owners primely dressed, were painted all over the walls - thus making the havelis interesting for both Indian and foreign travellers.

Udaipur in Rajasthan

July 3rd, 2009

In the harsh terrain of the hills and ravines of Aravallis, flourishes the city of lakes, Udaipur. One of the most romantic places in India, Udaipur is situated around the shimmering clear blue water lakes, which whisper the mood of a bygone era.

The city was founded in 1567 AD by Maharana Udai Singh on the advice of a sage. Udaipur was last of the numerous Mewar capitals. It was in Udaipur that legendary Maharana Pratap was born. He was obsessed with Chittaur and the past glories of the Sisodia clan possessed his mind. Maharana Pratap left Udaipur to win back Chittaur from the Mughals. But he failed in his attempts and Udaipur remained the capital of Mewar till India got her independence. The memory of the failure of noble Pratap gives Udaipur its pervading mood of nostalgic wistfulness.

The city acquires its scenic beauty from the Aravallis. Three lakes- Pichola, Fateh Sagar and Udai Sagar make it an oasis in the desert.

Governmant Museum - Udaipur : The Government Museum of Udaipur was originally located in Gulab Bagh and was called the Victoria Hall Museum. It has now been shifted to Karan Vilas Mahal within the precincts of the City Palace.

Lake Palace : This former summer residence of the royal family has now been converted into a fabulous hotel.

Mewar Festival : The Mewar Festival is celebrated to welcome the advent of spring. It coincides with the festival of Gangaur in Udaipur and has a unique charm about it. It is time for cultural events where Rajasthani culture is portrayed through songs, dances and other programmes. The festival culminates with an impressive fireworks display.

Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum : The interesting collection exhibited in this small museum which is a foundation for the preservation of folk arts includes dresses, dolls, masks, musical instruments and paintings. The high point of the exhibits are the puppets.

City Palace Udaipur Travel : City Palace, the majestic white royal building towers itself on a hill and is surrounded by crenellated walls. The palace was completed in its present form by the contribution of many rulers. Originally started by Udai Singh, the later additions were so carefully planned and integrated with the original building that it becomes difficult to believe that the building was not conceived as a whole. The city palace stands along the shores of Lake Pichola.

City Palace Museum : The main part of the City palace, Udaipur is now preserved as a museum with a large and varied collection. It was established in 1890 AD and is one of the earliest museums of the state.

Pichola Lake : The panoramic lake that enraptured Maharaja Udai Singh, Lake Pichola is surrounded by hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and has two island palaces- Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir. It was later enlarged by the founder.

The Best Things Of Colwyn Bay

July 2nd, 2009

Residing within a secluded enclove on the beautiful North Wales coastline, Colwyn Bay is the second biggest town in North Wales, with just under 30,000 people. It’s primary source of income for the town is with tourism, and as a result it can be a great place to visit on a day out.

Attractions wise there are a couple, but what Colwyn Bay lacks in quantity, it more than makes up in quality. The first is the Welsh Mountain Zoo. Beginning life in the mid 1960’s, the zoo has grown into one of the UK’s premier zoos, with continued and sustained growth from the very beginning. Even now it remains one of the top 10 things to do in North Wales. Developments have included in recent years the Jungle Adventureland, European Otter Enclosure, Chimpanzee World & Chimp Encounter, Children’s Farm, Bear Falls & Golden Eagles. The zoo has a very successful breeding programme, breeding the very first Bactrian Camel & Flamingos in Wales. The zoo also specialises in chimpanzees & South American birds such as condors.

The other stunning attraction in Colwyn Bay is the 2 mile long beach that stretches from Old Colwyn, through the centre of Colwyn Bay, to Rhos On Sea. The beach actually continues further onto Angel Bay in Penrhyn Bay, but it is broken along the way, so locals assume that’s the end of the beach. Walking along the beach also has it’s fair share of history, including the Victoria Pier (at timme of writing, it’s undergoing some rennovation work). Rhos on Sea also has old buildings such as St. Trillo’s church and sites associated with Ednyfed Fychan - the Welsh general who famously decapitated 3 English Lords. So exploring the Colwyn Bay coastline is not only pleasurable, but educational too.

Colwyn Bay recently has increased its business exploits, with a number of large offices and business accommodation dotted around the town, this has seen a growth in the IT, business services & other similar industries. This will ensure that Colwyn Bay will continue it’s growth long into the future.

A Quick Tour Of Paris - The South-Central Arrondissements

July 1st, 2009

South-central Paris includes three dynamic arrondissements, the thirteenth to the fifteenth. We start our tour in the thirteenth and head east. Les Olympiades is a residential high-rise district built well over thirty years ago over a huge, elevated pedestrian esplanade that includes a shopping mall. The National Library of France is another resident of the new thirteenth district, transplanted from central Paris about ten years ago.

The Pitie-Salpetriere Hospital was once a dumping ground for the Parisian poor, and the site of Princess Diana’s demise. The Butte-aux-Cailles (literally quails hill) is located in the west end of the district, not far from the very busy Place d’Italie. Its co-op restaurants, trendy bars, and nightclubs haven’t erased the village atmosphere. The Manufacture des Gobelins (Gobelins Factory) has made exceptional tapestries for centuries. Part of the complex is a museum that offers guided tours.

Some people start their tour of the fourteenth district at the famous Catacombs, Roman limestone quarries converted to burial grounds over two hundred years ago. Montparnasse was named for the home of the Greek muses to the arts and sciences. It hosts the world-famous Pasteur Institute, a leader in the fight against the AIDS virus and numerous other viruses. This neighborhood has been a major art center for centuries. It is home to numerous cafes, bars, restaurants, and nightclubs that once served the art colony.

The famous music hall Bobino is a neighborhood fixture on the Rue de la Gaite, situated just west of the Montparnasse Cemetery. Immerse yourself in the spirit of the times at the Montparnasse Museum. The International University City of Paris complex includes several dozen student residences. Many of its buildings were designed by famous architects including Le Corbusier who designed the Swiss and Brazilian pavilions.

The Montparnasse Tower, once Europe’s tallest building, replaced the Gare Montparnasse, one of six large Parisian railway stations where the German military governor of Paris, General von Choltitz, surrendered there to the French General Philippe Leclerc in 1944. This historic event was dramatized in the 1966 Franco-American movie Is Paris Burning? .

The fifteenth district is home to the Beehive, a weird-looking three-story circular designed by Gustave Eiffel as a temporary wine rotunda for a 1900 exposition. Former residents include many of the greatest painters and artists of the early Twentieth Century. Aquaboulevard is Europe’s largest aquatic indoor recreational park. It includes seven restaurants and a fourteen-screen movie theater on site. The giant Palais des Sports (Sports Palace) hosts hockey and basketball games as well as large-scale musicals and rock concerts. The village of Vaugirard was known for its wines, exported way back in 1453. In 1985 the Clos des Morillons vineyard located in the Parc Georges Brassens was replanted with seven hundred Pinot Noir vines harvested in the late fall. The following summer you can enjoy the wine, said to be fairly good.

Levi Reiss authored or co-authored ten computer and Internet books, but would rather drink fine French, German, or other wine, paired with the right foods. He loves teaching computer classes at an Ontario French-language community college.
