Choosing All-Inclusive Mexico Resorts

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bob Harmon @ 10:22 pm

Mexico offers miles of pristine beaches, unforgettable nightlife and historic sites. There are different types of accommodations you can choose from – ranging from hotels and villas to all-inclusive or non-all-inclusive Mexico resorts.

Mexico or the United Mexican States is North America’s federal constitution republic. It is one of the world’s most visited countries. It offers several interesting historical sights, miles of palm trees and white sandy beaches. The most popular vacation spots in Mexico are Cozumel, Cancun, Taxco, Acapulco, Mexico City and Cuernavaca. These places promise a thriving nightlife, interesting attractions and comfortable Mexico resorts as well as hotels.

Baja California – Here, popular vacation spots are San Jose Del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas and La Paz. Aside from its beaches, activities you can enjoy here include diving, whale watching and water sports.

Mexican Riviera – In this part of Mexico, popular vacation spots include Mazatlan, Ixtapa and Puerto Vallarta. It offers beautiful beaches by the Pacific coast, quiet hideaways, jungle escapes, romantic retreats and culture as well as arts venues.

Yucatan Peninsula – Places you can consider are Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, Cancun and Tulum, It features the ruins of the Old Mayan civilization, the beaches by the Gulf of Mexico and activities like dolphin watching as well as diving. Many honeymooners love Cancun for its luxury Mexico resorts and hotels that offer special promos, packages plus freebies.

Thus, if you’d rather go for a Spanish colonial feel, the best places in Mexico are Oaxaca, San Jose De Allende, Guadalajara and Mexico City.

Choosing All-Inclusive Mexico Resorts and Hotels

Going to an all-inclusive resort in Mexico, particularly in popular vacation spots like Cancun, Cozumel, Riviera Maya and Playa del Carmen ensures an assortment of activities, cuisines and entertainment – for the price of one package. By doing so, you don’t need to worry about carrying cash around to pay for food, services and lodging. Even the airport-resort/hotel transfers are included. Tips and taxes are also part of the all-inclusive rate. Many think this is the economical way to spend a vacation. However, if you’re the type who wants variety and not all of you eat much, getting an all-inclusive package isn’t really a good option. This is since most of the vacation spots in Mexico are lined up with different restaurants, clubs, bars, discotheques and other live entertainment venues. This is not so convenient if you’ll be spending your days touring these areas, which means, you won’t be in the resort/hotel most of the time. Then again, there are also all-inclusive Mexico resorts that provide tours and excursions to the Mayan ruins as well as other area attractions.

Cancun All-Inclusive Resorts

Both Riviera Maya and Cancun offer the most inviting Caribbean beaches. These places boast of world class resort accommodations and very friendly people. In fact, Cancun is presumably one of the world’s most famous sun destinations. Apart from the exciting nightlife, Cancun, is known for world class shopping venues and activities like scuba diving and motorized/non-motorized water sports.

Blue Tulum and Resort Spa – This all-inclusive resort in Mexico offers 72 elegantly furnished rooms with either an ocean or garden view. They have a fitness center, bar, pool, Jacuzzi, meeting rooms and even wedding facilities. They offer special promotions like up to 50% discount and complimentary car rentals if you stay for three nights. They also give free $100 Spa credits (only applicable for Spa massages) per day for each room you book. The starting rate in this 5-star Mexico resort is $125.37.

Cruising Solo

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bob Harmon @ 7:16 pm

I was dying to cruise from California to wherever the water flows and had but a brashly planned trip ahead. With hundreds of cruises departing from Miama Fl, I was fortunate enough to get onboard with Her – Satan’s incarnate, the root of all evil, the reason for our relationship’s demise. Heaven forbid if I lose control and push her overboard, never to be seen in cruises to the Caribbean again.

Going on lavish cruises to Europe was the guilty pleasure I used to share with my former lover. Now the joy of making lists (i.e. to-bring, must-sees, must-buys), packing bursting suitcases, never leaving the buffet table’s side and turning salmon pink under the sun was all mine. I have to thank Her for that, for ruining our five year relationship and making me go on one of the finest cruises to the Caribbean alone. And she had the audacity to take the same exact ship I was on. I bet she had me checked up on what with her psychotic stalker-like tendencies.

I let Her win the first time around, letting her take away the man I knew was the one. I wasn’t feeling too generous as to let her get to me whilst on cruise. I chose to be the bigger person and made the most out of my trip, all the while setting aside the fact that she-devil was a few cabins away and there was always a huge possibility of us meeting either at the grand ballroom or the common sundeck. I busied myself with sight-seeing, island hopping, souvenir shopping and tips-making. I was able to come up with my top 3 tips on how you can enjoy the perfect cruise, sans companion.

• Find the right boat and be sure to book early. In choosing your boat, take into consideration the type of ship itself and not just the destination/s. Ships have different facilities and corresponding atmospheres. Get the best-priced cruise by either booking early or at crunch-time. Work with a good travel agent whom you’d be able to discuss your expectations and your budget with.
• ‘Light and right’ is the general rule for packing. Don’t get too carried away by packing all your bikinis and sundresses only to leave them crumpled and unused in your luggage. Trust me, your luggage will BE misplaced so be sure to have a set of clothes for changing in your hand-carry. Keep in mind the phrase ‘a little of everything’ – undies, a bathing suit, a sundress, something semi-formal for dinner and day-to-night shoes. You’ll never know who you’ll bump into so pack things that would make you look good.
• Beat ‘em, don’t join ‘em. You have a schedule down pat and so does everyone else. Brochures that come with the cruise tickets have all sorts of activities and excursions that most people would find interesting. On your first day onboard, make necessary arrangements if you don’t have plans of mingling with the rest of the cruisers.

Jadd Fong Travel is a company that offers cruises to Europe, cruises to the Caribbean and cruises departing from Miama Fl. Clink the links or visit the site more information.

What Makes Tunisia Holidays Special?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bob Harmon @ 7:16 pm

Beautiful beaches, spectacular mountain ranges, mysterious deserts and a blend of African, Muslim and Western cultures are what make Tunisia holidays such a popular choice for tourists.

Whether you are camel trekking through the Sahara and a palm-treed oasis or visiting ancient Roman ruins, Tunisia holidays offer a cultural exploration that you will remember for a lifetime.

Beach lovers will be in heaven, as the Mediterranean Sea borders both the north and east sides of the country. To see Tunisia as just a place of wonderful beaches though would not be doing it justice, as there is a wide variety of things to see and do there.

The country is full of picturesque and colorful towns and villages, and is interspersed with interesting ancient ruins and historical sites. There are just too many great attractions to list here, but highlights include the Tunis Medina, Sousse Medina and Ribat Monastor.

Whether you prefer beaches or countryside landscapes, hustle and bustle or peace and quiet, or a mix of everything, you will be happy with a holiday in Tunisia. Of the millions that visit there every year, few go away disappointed with what they have experienced.

You can both see and feel the various external influences that have shaped the current day Tunisia. The language, architecture, food and customs form a unique mix that can literally not be found anywhere else in the world.

Whether you take a trek through the beautiful mountains or ride a camel in the desert, you can expect to see medieval walled cities, Roman ruins, sweeping sand dunes and underground dwellings that housed ancient civilizations.

There are some great and affordable Tunisia holidays that include things you can do on your own. You could take the Djerba Island Tour, a walking tour of the Haidra Excavations, or a driving tour that covers sites like the Souks in Tunisia or the Peninsula of Cap.

You can dine on lamb skewers from a Berber oven or sushi from the Mediterranean, but there are a variety of cuisines to try. Couscous is a national dish made from semolina grain and boiled in fish or meat juices, so be sure and try it while in Tunisia.

The climate is varied, but if you want the best climate, spring and autumn offer the most temperate climates, while the months of July and August can become unbearably hot. Winter offers sunny climates compared to some other countries, but it depends on what part of Tunisia you visit.

Your money will go a long way whilst on holiday in Tunisia, much further than it would do in one of the nearby Mediterranean countries. That means that not only will you be able to afford to stay in a better class of accommodation, but also that you will be able to go on more tours and buy more souvenirs.

So, Tunisia holidays offers sun, beaches, history, excitement, adventure and value for money – what more could you wish for? You are guaranteed to have a good time!

Visit this Tunisia holidays web page to get more information and become familiar with your ideal beach holiday destination of sunny Tunisia.Article Source:http://www.articlesbase.com/travel-articles/what-makes-tunisia-holidays-special-1751812.html

Neo-Boomers will Travel Big Time

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bob Harmon @ 7:16 pm

Within the next two decades about 78 million baby boomers will reach retirement age. Although this population possesses 80 percent of America’s wealth (including 70% of U.S. stocks; 60% percent, foreign), this does not mean they are all wealthy. Some will continue working after age 65 because they have to, some will quit their “career” and begin doing the work they always wanted to do, and a number will retire thankfully and begin having full time fun.

How will many of these boomers spend their retirement? Travel, of course. The industry is the largest in the world, growing 23% faster than the global economy. It is expected to reach $14 trillion in the next ten years. And online travel sales is the fastest-growing segment of internet sales. Baby boomers are already easily the most traveled generation in the U.S. But how many boomers will have the bucks to hit the road big time?

Lately I heard a new term, but maybe it isn’t new to you. The word is “neo-boomers” and it delineates approximately 18 million affluent baby boomers who make up a large percentage of America’s biggest spenders. Though at least 70% of boomers take fairly lengthy annual vacations, the neo-boomers are the immediate holiday-takers who can zoom whenever and wherever they like.

You may find some of the following predictions of an AARP survey surprising. You’d think they’d be “disneyed up”, but lots of boomers are excited about visiting Disney within the next few years. Second, they’re excited about buying RVs and houseboats and traveling the waterways and the 16,000 campgrounds nationwide. (This sort of free and easy lifestyle holds great appeal to this group). Third, the top five states in which boomers would like to vacation are Las Vegas, Florida, New York, Hawaii, and Colorado. Fourth, in order of popularity, international destinations they are headed for are Europe, the Caribbean, Australia/New Zealand, and Africa.

This tech savvy crowd will book most of their travel on high speed internet and, in spite of the affluence of some, will definitely shop for a good deal. Simultaneously, boomers want to be treated well and they will pay for convenience. Many want to rough it on real-life adventures, but just as many love resorts and quietly luxurious bed and breakfast inns. They aren’t generally excited about long, stuffy tightly-programmed tours but do like the idea of cruising to exotic locations.

Some may be tempted to be a little jealous of this population, but they worked very hard for their economic standing, they’ve just weathered possibly the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, and through the years they’ve given large amounts of their wealth to charities and churches. Maybe it’s time to let them have a little fun.
